Don' t be jealous of the orange crocs... |
I started making the back for my Kaleidoscope quilt this weekend.
Intentional wonky is hard, y'all! It seems like it should be the easiest thing in the world, but it feels so wrong! Especially when you make scrappy-wonky.
(I haven't mowed my yard in a while, so the tall grass is kinda making the block look weird. Totally the grass's fault...)
I like scrappy wonky. :) Looks great.. and perfect October crocs!
ReplyDeleteWow! That is one huge block!
ReplyDeleteI tried wonky blocks once or twice and I agree. They're hard!
Your crocs coordinate nicely with your block! :) great star.
ReplyDeleteIt's looking good! I agree, wonky doesn't come 'natural!'
ReplyDeleteI love wonky stars and mean to try them some day. It looks great!
ReplyDeleteI'm loving the scrappy wonky! A good start indeed :)
ReplyDeleteLove the block! The scrap + wonk is awesome!
ReplyDeleteYour block looks great... and big!
ReplyDeleteLove the block!! I have grass like that...you'd think it would want to behave so it could be in a photo but no...
ReplyDeleteScrappy wonky is great!! Orange crocs would be lusted after in this house!
ReplyDeleteYes, intentional wonk can be both liberating and a complete PITA lol Looks great though
ReplyDeleteI think you did scrappy-wonky very well :) great colors!
ReplyDeleteI couldn't do it. I love modern quilts but can't bring myself to like wonkiness! that being said, I think your colour choices are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteYour star looks great! I think the trick with wonky is to not overthink it! Don't examine it too much...just keep going! Good job so far.
