WIP Wednesday

You know wHat really annoys me? HaVing to read words tHat are a mixture of upper and lower Case letters. Unfortunately, someone (my guess is tHat is name rHymes witH tax) Has messed up my keyboard tHis morning so tHat my C, H, and V only work as Capital letters. And my spaCebar only works about Half tHe time.

So tHis morning's post will be mostly piCtures. And I may just start omitting tHe annoying letters, so please exCuse any grammatiCal errors...

FinisHes:
Wyatt's Quilt, more HERE
Hexing Around tHe BloCk for do.Good StitCHes, using Lee's tutorial. We were eaCH supposed to CHoose a Color and sinCe I HaVe enougH orange sCraps I opted for tHese.

Potager BloCk for Mary CatHerine in tHe Modern BloCks Bee.

Interesting. My keyboard works fine when using applications other than Blogger. So the rest of      this post will be brought to you by Microsoft Word.

I actually have another finish this week, but don’t have any pictures of it. I made a shirt! And it isn’t hideous! It is way too big for me right now, but I think it will be fairly easy to take in the sides a bit. I used the Dana Top pattern by the Scientific Seamstress for Sis Boom. So easy and I think it will make a great maternity top this summer. I actually have the pieces cut out for another in a nicer fabric, so hopefully I can get it done this afternoon.

Ongoing:

The only real ongoing project I have that I can think of at the moment is that darn Road to Tennessee quilt I started a while back. I honestly have no love for this project right now. I don’t know if I should just pack it away somewhere so I don’t have to look at it, or just give it away! Not sure that anyone else would even want it, but I hate to know that it is boxed up in my closet.
Here's an old piCture of it...
I’m also not sure why the font and size keep changing throughout this post, but I have to go pick up Wyatt so I won’t be sticking around long enough to figure it out. Hope you all have a lovely day!

  5. Reminds me of the day my cat walked across the key board and turned everything 90 degrees. I had no idea what had happened.

  6. hahaha I wasn't sure if you were targeting that towards a commenter initially - strange that its only in blogger.. that road to tenn quilt is going to be fabulous!

  8. Your rainbow quilts is pretty and so are your blocks. But let's talk about that wonderful Road to Tennesee you are about to give up on :) There is a pattern in Camille Roskelly's Simplify that looks just like it. It's called Coming Home. I made it in quite a different color scheme than in the book and of course much bigger (always on the wild side, I am) and I can personally guareentee you that it was a truely beautiful quilt. The Sweetwater fabric you have is just perfect. The reds are satisfying deep, the blues have the perfect coolness about them. And the lights are so soft. I think your quilt will bee soothing, comfortable and ever so beautiful... if you finish it ;)

  9. Hehehe, I wonder what Wyatt did! It's so funny how cats and babykids have mysterious powers when they bang on our keyboards.

Your hexblocks are pretty! And I think your Road to Tennessee quilt still looks fantastic! I'm sure someone would want it, but I think you should keep it because you might love it again someday. :)

  12. I totally thought you were dogging on somebody that types like that at first! Haha, gotta love these kiddos. ;) I LOVE your hexing around the block blocks! They're so bright and cheery. That will be one awesome quilt. And I love your Road to Tennessee quilt but I know how it feels to grow weary of something and just have no love for it anymore. Send it to me and I'll finish it for you and then you can have it out of your closet! I'd even send it back to you if decided you liked it, and that's a sign of a true friend... ;)

  16. Oh, boy. This post almost gave me a seizure! Love
The Hexies. Maybe you should shelve the TN quilt for a bit and see if you've really lost that lovin feeling.

  17. ROFL, sorry, I should be laughing at your texty woes, but after a night where I had to dismantle my machine 7 times, I needed a good giggle! Hope your Road To Tennessee grows on you again, it will look great in the end

  21. I do a love a good color order quilt and I love the road to Tenn. Put it away and take it out another day. I have a total love hate thing with most of my quilts. Make it a baby quilt if you want to and give it away. BTW Zoe totally ripped off my period key and lost the contact under it for a week. Had to cut and paste!! Just found out my charger does charge my laptop anymore. Something to do with crayons... Aren't they fun!, it only costs $15 in parts to fix but really?? :)

  22. My boys completely destroyed my old laptop. I was missing both the right hand shift and enter keys. Typing was a nightmare because I always use those and would constantly forget that they were broke. :) Love your rainbow quilt. I personally love your Road to TN quilt. Maybe put it away for just a little while and bring it back out some rainy day. Just getting away from it might help.
